I have a 25 yr old gelding with Cushings that my vet wants me to start soaking his hay.  I am looking for some suggestions on the most easist and fastest ways of doing this.

Soaking to soften or to remove some of the sugar out of it? I got one of those plastic tubs that has the rope handles. About 5.00 at Walmart. I fill it up every day and set my hay flakes in there. Doesn't take long for them to soak , drain, in the feed bin they go.

So, I did a quick Google search for Hay Soaking Bins. This thing is kind of neat if you aren't up to filling, draining, etc every day. Looks to me they put it in a hay net before soaking to make feeding easier. Wish I would have thought about that.

I use the big buckets .........but this is neat.......my husband actually made one for our stall for one horse with a drain......etc....seems like someone else had the same idea!
