| So I know PHT is the preferred brand and I'd love to own one HOWEVER, I'm single momming and on a budget right now. Plan to save up for one (trying to resist using credit cards), but in the meantime does anyone use a slightly more affordable brand? I know you get what you pay for, I was looking at Professionals Choice possibly, my mare is 13 and in good shape but anything that helps with soreness and circulation is welcome for us!
Are the other brand blankets still effective/safe for in the meantime? And I'm new to magnetics in general, so how often and how long should I blanket her with it? Daily, just while hauling/at barrel races, etc?
TIA! |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Keep saving your money and get a PHT, the off brands will be a waste of your money, its better to get the right one in the first place. What ever amount of money you have saved up now I would just keep saving. Editing for spell check, lol

Location: Southern Indiana | I will say you get what you pay for. The cheaper ones are made outside the country and the construction is subpar. You can find some good deals on used pht blankets if your patient and keep your eyes on the look out. If you still can't afford one I would suggest going with back on track. I know it's not the same thing but they make good products. Benefab is another option even though I'm disappointed in their quality.
How long to use them depends on the brand. |

Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | Totally know where you're coming from. Like others have said, save your money and get PHT. I kind of did this. I knew I wanted to go PHT, but couldn't afford it at first. I did buy a Duratech sheet and had pretty good luck with it. I still have one Duratech sheet and I use it on my new mare, as my philosophy is that when she earns a PHT she will get one. But until then, she gets the Duratech. I felt that I could spare the $100 and have at least some type of therapy for my horse and just save for PHT in the meant time. I did however just go PHT for leg stuff as I bought a lot of mine on sales and used through buy, sell, trade pages on FB. |

Location: Arkansas | I bought this sheet to use and it's made by Classic Equine which i trust. I do have the hock boots by PHT and these by CE that i use on 2 different horses. I also have the Back on Track sheet and leg quick wraps that i use more for inflamation/circulation but for soreness i use the magnetic products. Hope this helps.

| Ive had my duratech since 2008 and I still use them. Every PHT thing Ive bought other than my stifle wraps Ive sold not long after buying them. I love the duratech and they work for my horses and Ive more than gotten my moneys worth out of them. |

See I keep seeing this trend and am seriously considering getting a Duratech until I can more comfortably afford to try a PHT... Thanks for this! |

| I have a DuraTek as well and I love it. I got it for Christmas 4 years ago. I would love to have a PHT but I have to be honest with myself as well. I know if I try to save for anything some bill will come up that I will have to use that money for. Saving is incredibly difficult for me due to my unbelievable "luck". |

Go to the pht website and read about the comparison test. I'm the customer they are referring to. I'll never forget the horrible state my gelding was in after using Duratech. The vet bill exceeded the cost of the PHT blanket. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I dont trust any other brands but PHT, they have done so much research on the products for the PHT, PHT is nothing but the best, you really need to go to their web site and read everything there is to read.. |
