Location: The best kept secret in TX | Curious, these puppies have been around a while... Forgot they existed honestly... Why not buy these instead of spending $99 on a Hidez?.... The company makes all different colors. Dees has them for $72 with free shipping. https://www.bigdweb.com/product/liquid+titanium+horse+mask.do?sortby=ourPicksAscend&page=3&refType=&from=fn&ecList=7&ecCategory=100661 Here it is with Ears https://www.bigdweb.com/product/liquid+titanium+horse+mask+with+ears.do?sortby=ourPicksAscend&page=3&refType=&from=fn&ecList=7&ecCategory=100661

| I know folks who use those on the track and in the barrel pen, started long before Hidez became a big deal. I haven't seen her in a while to know if she's switched or not. |

Interesting. Could you elaborate? I thought they were the same. I don't use either one but came across it today while looking at hoods and thought maybe I would post it for those who wanted to try HIDEZ but didn't want to pay $100/Hood. |

| Totally different therapies. Hidez is compression therapy. This is a fabric that has titanium infused into it somehow, it's not meant to be tight like Hidez. Something to do with negative ions or something. Sounds even more BS like than the Hidez lol |

| From an email when I looked into them a few years ago:
Hidez animal compression suits are engineered using innovative technology. The panels are designed, cut and sewn to focus on muscle groups. The unique design creates a controlled graduated compression to an animalβs body.
Hidez manufactures its own fabric with superior breathability and moisture management properties in a high stretch elastomeric yarn. This fabric is made using a "warp knit" construction. Warp knitted fabrics are more durable than regular circular knitted fabrics. Our fabric is among the most durable fabrics of this kind anywhere in the world and designed to return its natural / original shape no matter how much physical exertion or force the fabrics have been put under when worn. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Well, we learn something new everyday! I don't believe in the masks but I thought the one I found was interesting adn I know a few people on here swear by them.
Just a thought: If the masks both claim to do things and you can prove they don't do certain things for your horse.... Do you get your money back?

It would be nice if you could prove that it didn't work for your horse and be able to re-coup some money from it. But in reality it's just like any other fad therapy in my opinion. I bought a hood and have a nervous type mare that I am riding. I rode with it for about 2 weeks, and now I am riding without it to see if I have noticed a difference. Haven't changed my routine at all other than putting on the hood vs. not wearing it and honestly I can't see a difference at all. I have more luck with vita-calm as a daily feed through for my mare so far than I have had with the mask. I am trying to give it a fair shake, but if it doesn't work then no use in me keeping it. |

My thoughts too. The one anxious horse we have who has pretty quirky and might benefit from this, would never let me get it on her |

Location: Kansas | I wish!! The Hidez mask that I bought did absolutely nothing for my mare and I'm out $100 for a tiny piece of fabric.
On that note.. anyone want to buy it off of me!? |

Location: Michigan | A couple girls were using them last week at our first race of the year. One girl on a horse I have seen her and another girl run for a couple years, always very hot and anxious at the gate. On her expo run same hot horse she put the mask on for her open run and this horse went in quiet as can be and had a really good first barrel which is usually hard for her because of the anxious nature of her horse.
So daughter ordered one up and she will be using it this weekend on our younger horse that gets very nervous going in with lots of stomping and head shaking but usually will settle if allowed to relax in the pen for a little bit. She needs to learn to focus and run out of the alley and maybe this will help.
On a side not when ordering the mask I also ordered up a set of their ice compression boots/wraps for my older mare who had some damage done to her lymphatic system in a rear leg a couple years ago resulting in a leg that usually has some degree of swelling. Zipped up the wrap and filled the sides with ice and after 1.5 hours there was a noticeable reduction in the swelling. Pretty neat idea and is well constructed.
