We shaved off a little time....I hugged the left side of the alley like someone suggested and I'm really trying to ride with more body.  We have ran a 15.7 in this pen so I'm confused why we can't get back to that.  Anyway here is the latest video.  Any input I'll take!!

I think you could get faster if he was more collected and engaged that hock better. He's fighting with his head, instead of moving up into his bit. Result is a  shortened and choppy stride. Then because he's not engaged he bunny hops his hind end around the turns instead reaching deeper with that inside hock and smoothly four wheeling around the turn. He also tried to lead with his shoulder coming into third, you've got to pick him up to keep him off, another couple ticks on the clock. JMO.

Edited to add: collecting him will also get him firing off his turns A LOT harder and scoot you across the pen faster. Watch videos of Mark Bugni on  JL Fourtafame. That's the kind of collection and turn I'm talking about.

Thank you so much!!! So how do I work with him engaging that hock better? I see what you are saying with the bunny hops in his hind end.  That makes so much sense!!  I will definitely keep working on the 3rd one as well and keeping his shoulder up!!

He's 16.3 hands....does that make it harder for him to engage that hock better?  Is he too big to make a solid barrel horse?  I worry about his size....

There are lots of big horses that turn like a little horse.  There are lots of exercises to get them using your hind end.  What kind of slow work do you do with him?

I started by taking mine back to the roundpen and bitting him up. He needs to know how to move up into the bit. Mine would throw his head up and evade, so I waited for him to soften and drop his neck. That alone will help put him in a position to start using that hock better. My sister helps me with the collection aspect of it. She helped me by teaching him to properly distribute his weight to his hind end; don't ask me how she did it because I couldn't tell you.  I work a lot on squares but drawing him up and lifting his belly for turn. My suggestion would be to find a really good horsemanship guru that can help you achieve this.
