Where I live Verizon has the best service, which isn't bragging about nothing. AT&T won't work in our house and with Verizon I have to talk on the phone in the dining room in front of the window and not move. Thank goodness for Wi-Fi calling. From the commercials AT&T seems to have cheaper plans. If you travel alot though the service might not be good.

AT&T does not work at my house either. I have found the cheapest phone of to buy a TRACPHONE off QVC. I have one of thoes along with my VERIZON PHONE. The TRACPHONE is not bad.

A lot depends on where you live. My verizon phone sucks at my house and around our town. It will drop a call on the square DOWNTOWN! With that being said, when I go to my brothers- I am the only one with service while my mom and fiancΓ© can't talk at all!

It depends on which company owns the A license in the coverage area. ... they will have better service.

You will get better coverage if your phone is cdma rather than gms networking.cdma will connect to towers over long distances. That is why Verizon has better connections,Sprint T mobile etc purchase the use of Verizon towers,to get you that connection. If you use lower end providers most likely you are on gms network so the frequency isn't there. Unless you have a cdma provider and cdma phone that connection is not going to happen.

If you are happy with ATT except for the price, go with Cricket.

I've had Verizon for over 15 years. I have excellent coverage, except at my house. I can text, but I can only talk on the phone if I'm in certain spots on my property. I pay about $80 for unlimited everything, and $20 of that is the payment on the last phone I had to get when I smashed my previous phone.

Is it truly unlimited data?? The so-called unlimited plans just decrease your internet speed when you go over on your data. And, it is most definitely noticeable! I have been looking for a truly unlimited wifi.

My sister had no cell phone service at her house.  They got some type of signal booster from AT&T that they now have excellent service at home.  They either furnished it or my sister bought it (couple hundred dollars) but either way it was well worth the cost.  More techie people probably know what I am talking about. lol

the new plans ARE unlimited...they are just throttled like all the other plans out there (think the speeds start to get slower after 22GB)..so in reality it is unlimited...you just won't be able to use it efficiently once the speeds are slowed. Most people that I know that have switched have home internet through another provider (they use wifi at the house instead of their data plan) so they never get close to having their data throttled...since we live in the boonies and dial-up is still the only option --- we have a 32GB plan that we use up every month

I don't consider that truly unlimited. I would pay big money every month to get unlimited 4g. We moved from a neighborhood where I had wired internet and unlimited wifi. I got spoiled. I used to watch shows on my tablet by accessing the dvr at home and even on a high usage plan, I now use all of the available data in three days. I can't handle it when my phone drops down to 3G. I can't even let my kid watch YouTube videos (which is my go-to right now when he throws a fit in a restaurant or something). Plus, I can no longer watch my recorded movies when I'm away from home. Which was a nice option to have. I know I'd have to pay big for those features wirelessly where I now live, but I would pay lots more (within reason) to have it. Nobody seems to offer truly unlimited usage anymore.
