I hate to admit it but when it comes to the racing side of QH"s I am not very familiar with bloodlines. What can you tell me about these papers? I do know Special Effort, but that's it.

Also, another question. If a colt has been on the pattern half a dozen times and can trot a pattern (but not beautifully) in a sale ad would it be better to say started on pattern, or not started on the pattern?

Thanks!!

Nice papers. I would rather see that the horse is broke well rather than started on barrels. Look at how broke the horse in ad 346456 is. Don't look at how the horse works barrels. Kirstin Weaver Brown is a hand and knows what to show people in a video. Knowing that the horse is broke and you can go on with him really is important.

Nice pony! I agree with the above poster, I would rather see how well they handle around, move off legs etc.  If you advertise them as started on the pattern, I expect to see him loping a decent set of barrels.

I recognized that horses name before I even clicked the link :) I owned his full sister, along with several other NBN. I considered buying this horse when Johnsons sold him, but I'm a "mare person" so I passed. I had plans to buy the dam, but she came up open that year.

I absolutely loved the full sibling I had. She was a little slower maturing, so she didn't wind up at the top her futurity year. I was ok with that though, because she had all the other makings of an amazing horse. Sweet personality, laid back, youth suitable, willing to please. I could run in the open and then put my novice niece on and let her hang out by the gate and ride around the grounds with no problem. Her very first rodeo run was in the performance for Jr Barrels and she was an angel.

She is now owned by an amazing family that the mother will run and the daughter uses in jr events.
