1DSoon - 2017-05-12 11:20 AM TBone - 2017-05-12 12:08 PM My horses love alfalfa, oats & flax... they do NOT like the Omnis cubes!
I have tried multiple times to get my one horse to like them but he refuses. He will eat them if I hand feed them to him like a treat, or if my other horse is getting some he will want some. But put some in a bucket or pan and he will nibble on them for a little while before he will try to dump the bucket or go stand in the corner and refuse to go near them. He likes his alfalfa hay, but it has to be perfect... not too stemmy and not too many fines. It is not unusual for him to leave his excellent quality alfalfa hay to eat coastal bermuda hay from his slow feed net. He also isn't wild about alfalfa pellets. I think his not really liking cubes or pellets or the alfalfa hay fines has to do with how dry they are. Yes, I have tried soaking cubes but he doesn't like that either.
My other horse will eat the Omnis cubes if that is all he gets, but he is not wild about them. But given the choice he would rather have the alfalfa hay.
I really wanted them to like them because it would have made my life so much easier!
Interesting.
I guess there are always outliers.
I fed 3.5-4 tons a month of them for almost a year. Probalby still would be if their supply chain management would have been better.
Never had one refuse.
That's a lot of feed! Are you in the breeding business? How many horses do you have? What do you do with all of them?
She has over 2000 head. It is a large operation obviously

God Lord I hope you don't teach math.
I had 15 head that was eating the cubes, at the recommended rate of consumption that was between 3.5-4 tons a month.
I can do the math for you if you need me to.

But not English. . .
I'm sorry, that was tacky. My nerves are just very on edge waiting for Friday to be over with good results.

Seriously? How many people do you know that actually have 2000 horses? I guess sarcastic people don't pick up on sarcasm well. |
