Location: Wonderful Wyoming | We got a black lab puppy today. One of my most favorite breeds. His call name is Ruger, but I like to have really creative registered names. My last one was As Good As It Gets (from the movie with Jack Nicholson) and my Corgi is his breeders initials and Silver Spur. Any great movies or songs that would make a cool hunting dog name? Most of his family has boring names but there are a couple that are neat-Roll the Dice and Playing For Keeps.

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | Those are all so good! I am usually a pound puppy kind of girl or give away. I have looked for awhile and never came across a lab or even lab mix in a shelter anywhere close to me. And the few rescues I contacted were horrible. $350+ and some would ask for more money when you showed up to get the dog-per their reviews. I better read the AKC rules and see how many letters we can use. |

I like that! On a side note, if my Audie makes it through all this, I have a show sheet that has his name "Audie Murphy" and I will add "To Hell and Back" underneath. I think it would be quite fitting under the circumstances. |

I think the Audie reference with the puppy would be so appropriate! You go ahead and put "to hell and back" cause we're all having faith your big boy is gonna bounce back come spring and be more than ready to go! |
