Location: South Dakota	Dr Ramey has written articles about a half dosage of Ulcergard (Gastrogard) being as effective as full dosage....saving lots of dollars! I have gone this route and he is right...it works just fine.

Expert Posts: 2258	I have read research stuff where you can do a quarter dose and have the same results as well. I had to treat several horses last year before I came up with a different plan. I did a half dose for a couple days maybe a week depending on the horse and then went to a quarter dose to finish out. They all came through just fine.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 559	I noticed a 1/2 tube working just as well as a full tube on my mare with ulcers . She goes off feed periodically & a 1/2 tube a day keeps her eating & feeling good . I'm afraid a 1/4 tube won't be enough .. & I can't have her not feeling well this time of year especially ! I do give her a full tube in race / rodeo days .

They all came through just fine. Did you still do 30 days in total? I did a full 30 days on a couple and some got jus 2 weeks I had so many I was going broke in a hurry.
