Anybody bring a new horse home and have one that seems to just hate them?

I bought a cute 13 hand paint pony for my grandson and I have one horse that acts like he wants to kill him.   I am following my usual protocol and keeping the new guy separated, letting them get aquatinted across the fence.  My others have already accepted him but I have one that is going way beyond the normal squeals and posturing.  He lunges at the wood fence, slams into it, trying his hardest to get to him.  He loves my mini donkeys and has been around other ponies with no problem.  He looks like a wild eyed rabid dog going after him.

My current three, two mares and a gelding, all hate each other. I completely redid my set up to have three seperate stalls and runs so that they were separate. I have changed their order multiple times with the same result. Someone is always kicking and throwing themselves at the fencing.

Yes ma'am! Same thing... brought home a quarter pony (thank goodness it was on trial period) and one horse went nuts. Lunging at it from the other side of the fence, pinned ears, while nine yards. Daughter ended up hating the horse so we didn't keep it anyways
