Anyone had luck working a kinked neck out of a young horse? Was tied and pulled.

I would find someone that does Equine massage, that would be a good thing to start with. But for now I would ask your vet about giving some bute or whatever he/she would recommend to help with the pain to help relax his neck a little.

Oh wow, how much can this horse move her neck? I would get someone that does massages for sure. Why the long wait on trying to help the horse?

After dealing with something similar that is a new injury, I would have the neck x rayed and go from there. Mine turned out to be muscle trauma. Not from pulling back, we are really unsure what he did. But had I had a chiro/massage done, I would have saved about $3500 in vet bills.  Instead the vet thought it was wobblers and we did several procedures etc. Long story short, with a neck injury I would look at x rays first and then see if chiro/massage will help. If so, I bet it takes a few sessions.

Yep thats a good ideal about x-raying this horses neck, I never had a neck injury so never thought about that but to me if its a old injury I douth there's much you can do about it now. How old is this horse and how long ago has it been since the injury?

I don't own it. It's a yearling I believe it happened as a weanling. Carries her head slightly to the left.

We sold a weanling and the girl called us back after about 4 months and said it had a neck injury, born with it and wanted us to take him back and refund her. So we called her vet who said UMMM NO! That it was an injury, from being tied and pulling back or maybe even getting his neck caught somewhere. He did a lot of damage to his upper vertebra and he said had this horse had the issue when she picked it up, she would have noticed it and refused to take him home. I guess it was that obvious. His advice was they don't really heal from that. I know the colt was ran through a sale a year or two later and the buyer contacted me for the colts history. I felt bad telling him his deal wasn't that good of a deal.

As mentioned above, I would x ray to make sure a chiro etc won't make the horse worse. So much balance and collection depends on how they carry their head. If it is fused this way, which I really bet it is, I don't think the horse will have much future under saddle sadly.

My nephew has a beautiful palomino filly that had a neck injury as a weanling....broodmare sound only.  Such a shame.
