| My hair will literally NOT grow out around my face, the bottom and back grows fine. I have tried everything I can think of... taking "hair" vitamins, using heat protector, no extra product, not shampooing constantly, only use ponytails when I have to, etc. I do dry my hair almost every day and use a straightener but I'm as careful as I can be. I don't really know how else to style my hair without using them! I have VERY VERY fine hair.... I don't want to keep a shorter hair cut all the time but it looks like a mullet when I try to grow it... advice, please, I have no idea what else I can do? | |

| Prenatal vitamins! My hair dresser suggested it about a year ago, and I've never looked back. Works amazing! And they are not expensive. I have fine, thin hair, naturally a brunette, but am 100% blonde, so I color my hair every 5 weeks, blow dry every other day, and straighten or curl every day. I suggest always using a heat protector on wet and dry hair before you blow dry and straighten. This is the one I use, and it's great! Doesn't weigh down my hair, smells AMAZING, and really protects my hair.

It's super important to use a heat protectant spray to save your hair.
My bangs had that problem, they would NOT grow, but I straighten them every day, so for a month or so, I put my bangs up everyday, whether in a braid, etc, and just left them alone, and they started to grow. When it comes to straightening the pieces around your face, try to leave them alone for a month or so.
I never realized how important using good quality hair products are! I used to use the 99cent suave shampoo and conditioner, and always wondered why my hair was brittle, dry, and never grew! I'm not saying I use top of the line products, but I love the Redken Anti-Snap Line (in the blue bottle), it's really made a huge difference in the quality of my hair.
I used to by the type who felt like I HAD to wash my hair every day, because it felt terrible if I didn't. Shampooing 7 days a week is hard on hair, so now I'm able to shampoo every other day by using dry shampoo. I've tried many, but I only use Drybar now. It's amazing, gives my lifeless hair some volume, smells great, easy to use, and I feel confident that I can go a day or sometimes two without shampooing.

Location: Southern Indiana | Quit washing and drying your hair everyday!!! Try every other day or 3 days. Buy some batiste dry shampoo. Wear you hair curly or pull it back. Next...do you dye your hair or get highlights? Do you use any type of oil in your hair? I swear by Moroccan oil. The original brand. My hair never used to grow below my bra and it grew like 3 inches past that. It hardly ever needs cut. I found the biolage repair line helped mine get longer. The right shampoo really makes a difference.
The key is to stop the breakage.

| I would look into Monat. It promotes new hair growth. Yes, there is some sticker shock on price but it last FOREVER and I only wash 1-2x per week depending on weather. | |

I don't wash it every day, but not wetting it down/rinsing is out of the question.... it will stick straight out in every direction. It doesn't lay straight or go curly either way without styling.. I don't WANT to dry/straighten all the time. It's hard to tie shorter/thin/fine hair back without feeling like I'm doing damage with a ponytail, so thought maybe I shouldn't do it too much? My heat protector has argon oil and I use Kenra products. I do highlight but not very often.

Location: Spokompton, Wa | A couple years ago, I cut my hair short. Worst mistake ever! Now..... I do not sell, endorse or peddle the product but I had a friend that sold IT Works products and had a pixie cut. Her hair was growing like crazy! She was using their hair, skin and nails formula and I decided to try it. I truly believe it helped my hair grow faster and thicker. I need to order some more. Which I get off of eBay...
But this is it.

| I use the HAIR, SKIN AND NAILS vitamins. My trainer swears by KERANIQUE SHAMPOO. She says it has helped the hair grow out around her face. I am going to try WEN but trainer says it can't be as good as KERANIQUE | |

| I have been using Monat and I have no idea what the hype is about...
It is nice, but give me a $2 bottle of Suave and I will get by just the same.
I would buy some pre-natal vitamins and make sure you are drinking enough water.

My heat protector has argon oil and I use Kenra products. I do highlight but not very often. A few things... First off: your hair is fried. Second off: the argan oil is making it worse. The first handful of ingredients in that product you mentioned are silicones and polymers and lay over each hair folicle and cling to it for life. It breaks your hair...
Find a REPUTABLE hair stylist and ask for a deep conditioning treatment. Lay off the oils and products. Find a silicone free and sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Use them until they're gone to get all the sulfates and silicones off your hair. Take a prenatal vitamin like Rainbow Lites or organic straight Biotin.
It's honestly better to just style it with low heat than to use any products with alcohol, silicones, or sulfates in them. Alcohol and heat mixed fry your hair, causing you to buy more products to prevent the burning.... It's a cycle and most styling products have them. Can't pronounce the ingredient on the back of a bottle, google it. You'd be surprised what you're spraying on your head....
I know I sound Hippie, but follow those directions and you'll see a difference.
Wash your hair at night, sleep on a wet head and style with just a curling iron or just a straightener. Throw the blow dryer out your window and you should be all set.

I didn't mention any product... my thermal protectant product with the argan oil does not have silicones. My hair is not over-all fried... it has damaged areas (obviously they don't grow) but the majority is healthy. I am and have been taking vitamins containing biotin and such like prenatal vitamins. And I swear I am not trying to brush off the advice from anyone, but sleeping on my hair wet and styling is not possible.. fine, thin, wavy hair does not just lay like "normal" hair, at least mine doesn't. It is untameable. I have ordered some new shampoo and conditioner and treatment to try and trying to find some ways to lessen the blow drying.
