One thing that I really do think all of you are missing here is that you needed to decide your style and stick with it. Practice the same way every time. Run exactly the same way you praΓ§tice/train. About 1975, Lynn McKenzie had an article in the QH Journal that had a title something like PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT RUNS. She had poles and tires to make sure that she made every practice trip exactly the same. I have known Lynn since way before she had Missle. I attended one of her clinics about 1976. It was outside, freezing cold, and raining in an outdoor arena. I really think my horse put it together that weekend from the consistent practice.
Easier said then done! I can't seem to find what style works best for my mare. I have switched her directions, changed styles and yet we still can't get it together. UGH!
