| Personally, I would be making sure that horse saw a good chiro if it was mine.
There was an accident a quarter mile down the road from me where a truck and trailer rear ended a gravel train. The horse didn't even have any scrapes but was sure stove up. I walked the horse to my house and kept it for a week and had the chiro look at it (with owner's permission, owner was in the hospital) and that pony sure needed an adjustment.
So happy to hear that the outcome wasn't worse. |

Good looking horse, especially considering the ordeal!! Must be a very calm pony too; I can just see those legs being jerked thru those slats and tore all to pieces. . . |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | It's pretty amazing what some horses can endure while others would have thrown a fit and hurt themselves really bad being in that situation.
Many years ago...My dad was in the middle of a turn when a truck rear ended him. The hit was hard enough to break the welds on the top of a 2 horse trailer and the horse came out of the top. He was scraped up from head to toe. He was hesitant the first time to get back in a trailer. His issues were when you were making a turn. If you made a normal speed turn he would scramble. I would just make a slow turn and he would be fine. |

Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | So glad it ended well - great horse!!! Had to be a caring owner, driver also. I haul with that same truck and trailer! Our truck has almost 200,000 miles - I had to show my husband the pics. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Glad this ended well. What a crazy photo. I had a wreck a few years back and my trailer ended up on top of my flipped truck. Long story short, horse needed chiro work because he was thrown forward so hard. Other than that he was okay. A friend loaded him up in his trailer from the scene while I went to the hospital. Said he stepped right off, looked around at the commotion and stepped right onto his trailer and licked his lips. My fire breathing dragon was listening to the Good Lord above that night. |
