Subject: gate measurements

Location: NE TX		I have a gate opening that right now is blocked off by an old cattle fence and is wired to the fence. The opening is 11.5ft, the gate wired to the fence is about 14ft and can't hang on the fence.

Long story short. Are gates the same size they list them as, cause I measured 11.5ft on the opening from the post to the hanger hook things on the other side. But gates are either 10ft or 12ft. So should I get a 12ft and have it be too big for the opening?

See if you have someone in your area who fabricates continuous panel fence and have them build you a gate to your specs. Better quality than the tubular prefab ones too.
