AirForce Times:

In an email, Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said that Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts of violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice’s Article 128, which deals with assault.
Kelley, who joined the Air Force in 2010 and served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, was confined for 12 months and reduced in rank to E-1, or airman basic, the lowest rank an airman can have. He received a bad conduct discharge in 2014.

I heard on the radio yesterday he assaulted his 11 month old son - real POS.

I'm sure the gun haters will be all over this but YET AGAIN, he should NOT have passed a background check for the dishonorable discharge, so we ALREADY had a law that SHOULD have prevented him from having a gun but we all know criminals don't follow laws.

I'm starting to wonder if the only way to stop these senseless killings is to have more GOOD folks carrying to stop these killers in their tracks.

I did hear the coward was found dead but never heard the cause.

What has happened to our country??

He was killed by a citizen across the street that engaged him with gunfire.  So good citizens with guns stopped him from doing further carnage!

So I heard this morning he was able to pass a background check because the Air Force didn't turn his information in on his court marshal so shame on them.

I find it a little amusing that I'm hearing he was shot by the neighbor but actually died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. You know as much as we all love justice, I think they are saying this to protect the man who shot him because he would have to be charged with his murder - wouldn't you all think? I kind of have to think "this is Texas for you" - and I LOVE it!

He left the scene alive and was chased by the two guys.   In an interview they said he lost control and ran off the road, the one guy takeoff his rifle on him but there was no movement in the car.  He says they did not approach his car while they waited for police.  I have wondered too if he did shoot himself but the younger seemed genuine in the interview.

I am born and raised in Texas. My husband has been in law enforcement and, as an attorney, worked for years with the District Attorney's offices in a few different counties. There is no way that the man that followed and shot at this guy would ever be charged in the State of Texas with murder. Even IF he was charged (which he wouldn't be), but if he were, the Grand Jury would give him a medal and no bill him in about 2 seconds!

But you are right, that is just how Texas is!!

I can't believe some of the stupid remarks on FB and from the MSM. I'm tired of them trying to deamonize our 2 Texas heroes.

I can believe that about FB but I have neither read nor listened to any media reports that were not extremely thankful and appreciative of those men's actions....... what media source?

Of course they are going to demonize them....because the fact that a good citizen was armed and stopped more carnage goes against their left wing nut job thinking that we should ban guns!!
