So I have been seeing FB posts lately on the new C3-Jeff Smith barrel saddles....has anyone bought one lately? How do you like it and what did you have before? I have also been checking out the new Sherry Cervi-Stingray by Martin Saddlery, does anyone have this saddle? If so, how do you like it? How does it compare to the Crown C?? I have been wanting a new saddle, I currently ride in a Cactus-Charmayne James and love it...but it's getting old, and I want something new!! Any thoughts???

I borrowed a C3, made a great run in it, and I’m saving my pennies to get one ordered before the 1st of the year if the right used one doesn’t pop up.

Loved it.

I got to see a C3 this weekend. It’s the first one I’ve seen in person and on a horse and I really liked the looks of it.

What I really found impressive was how my horse worked in it. He’s very cowy and I just thought he was always going to be more β€œdown” in front. But it freed up his shoulder so much I suddenly had a horse β€œup” in front of me! The pro photos from that weekend showed a big difference in his turns and how I was able to stay more down in the saddle.

Need to get my Triple Creek sold so I can order one. Ugh.

O.k., some might think I'm nit-pickin BUT I saw the ad for the Stingray saddle..........with all the wonderful claims that the experts thought of along with this, that and the other also I'm sure those saddles are not cheap and us barrel racers are supposed to be standing in line to buy one. Someone needs to check and recheck every detail of the product, marketing and advertising.

The one line in the ad that STOOD out like a sore thumb........the Stingray saddle is supposed to help keep horse and rider balanced at all 3 GATES!!! WTH, is that the gates that need to be opened on the way to the arena? If the people involved with this saddle from designer, maker, advertiser and endorser can not catch that detail why should the buyer be expected to spend our hard earned money on the saddle. What else was done in a haphazard manner.

I checked it out too because I love Martin's quality and their customer service but I just couldn't find a Crown C that fit my horse. The claims they made really turned me off :/
