Anyone use them? I saw them in the recent Barrel Horse News magazine, and thought I would see if anyone uses them and what their review on them is.

I love them.  I use the hock wraps on my knee alot.  My husband has used them on his shoulder.
My horses seem to really like them.  They're expensive, but worth it.  I know they work because I use
them on myself.
They're very well made.

I don't think they are any better than cold water soaking, BUT they are less messy.  We have a set for my daughter's pole horse, who has a chronic, off and on check ligament that flares up.  We put the ice vibes on after a run, and they seem to do the same job as 20 minutes of cold hosing- without the water puddle!  They are easy to use and pretty convenient- we just keep the gel wraps in our LQ freezer.  I'm not sure the benefit of the "vibe" portion, and sometimes we use the boots without them.  Overall, I think they're a good investment in our case.

Probably my best selling product for 2+ years when they first came out and could barely keep them in stock.  More recently (the last year or so) I've sold more of the hocks than anything.

I prefer the pain in the hinny Prochoice 9 pocket ice boots or my Game ready. When I check the temps with my laser they are more consistent.
The little ice pockets is just that to little.

Love the concept, but I have not been pleased with how long they actually stay cold for. I have both the Ice Vibes and Ice Horse boots and I feel as though the Ice Horse boots do a better job of cooling the leg (as in, when removed the leg is cool to the touch whereas when the IceVibes are removed the leg is usually warm and the inserts are completely thawed).

If the inserts would stay colder longer I would like them a lot better!

How long do you leave them on for?

We leave ours on for 20 minutes and the ice wraps are mostly warm by then.  I'd be curious to learn about boots that stayed cold for at least 30 minutes!  The ice vibe gels wrap 360* and the full length of the boot, so I think the coverage is good, but the gel packs just don't stay cold that long...

Agree. I switched to the Hidez Ice Socks for that reason. I like those much much better.

I think they are over priced for what they are. Don’t stay cold long enough in my opinion. However they marketed them well. For years I would use a cut off jean legs and fill it with ice and polo wrap it on for 20 min. Worked great and was cheap. This is less messy and prob not as effective, but looks cool.
