Location: Oklahoma | Just to recap I am doing a series of shots. I do one shot and wait six weeks with 24/7 turnout during that time. When it was time for the 2nd shot we took xrays and I was 25% better. So I did the 2nd shot and waited another 6 weeks. This past Friday I went in for xrays and we are 75% better!!! so we did the 3rd shot. Now I can add the walker at 20 mins but walking only! I am ecstatic! Oh forgot to mention we have a bone cyst in the tibia right on top of the left hock. Besides the Osphos:

Now I cannot wait for the 6 weeks to be up! When started this process the vet said it would be 3-4 shots depending how everything turns out. I am so grateful for my vet Dr. Collett! He really explains everything and gives you different options if there is any. |

| That is awesome news! My gelding has a fetlock cyst the size of the tip of a pen which we were injecting and getting great results and about 100 days however he came up super lame and through a series of xrays blocks etc discovered he was sore in his coffin and navicular bursa, without MR(I am unable to afford $1500 right now) vet couldn't be specific bc xrays were clean. We injected coffin, 80% better upon recheck, injected navicular bursa and vet suggested osphos. We are 6 weeks out, took him for recheck on Wednesday and he was 100% sound. Vet suspects a bursitis. I have another check up next month to monitor the progress but I'm super happy w/treatment plan. I also give Pentosan once a month and have for a year.
There's a new treatment my vet would like to try on fetlock cyst involving stem cells should we not be happy with progression. I can't remember what it's called but right now company offers a 100% money back guarantee if it doesn't work. It's about $750 |

I hadn't had experience with one until this guy. Didn't show up on pre purchase and we only found it bc angle was just right it's so little. He had intermittent lameness and i noticed an ever so slight head bob and hesitation on backside of barrel. I've had really good luck with injecting it and i stay on top of it so he doesnt get sore. The other stuff showed up right about Halloween so we've been working to get him better.
I'll ask my vet next week what the stem cell treatment is he's using. My vet is super conservative and does not do trendy anything(unless a client absolutely insists) and the 100% money back if it doesn't work makes it hard to not try. They won't always offer that but in it's infancy it's a good way to build the market. Vet says he's had good success with it tjough9on various things.
