| Is anyone one among you sick? James 5:14. The key to understanding " sick" James chose a word in Greek that means, " without strength," or to be weak". We assume that only those who are sick that it is onjy physical sickness however, the word" sick"weak in body and in soul, or in spirit. V 15 " the prayer of faith will save the sick". Here the word " sick" is a different world meaning to " grow weary." James was writing to those who had " grown weary . In the struggles of life, those " scattered aboard" James 1:1. In the dispersion. They had been forced to flee their homes and their jobs. Tempted to give out and give up, they were weary and weak.
Those who are sick spiritually and emotionally often need so one upon whom they can lean and from whom they can draw strength. Paul exhorted, " comfort the faith hearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all" Thessalonions 5:14. The prayer at th beside of the sick must be " the prayer of faith" James 5:15 " In faith without doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 The prayer of thigh MUST ALWAYS BR offered ACCORDING God"s Word and His will. ALL healing I'd divine. Medicine alone doesn't heal. Doctors alone do not heal. Proper didnt alone does not heal, GOD HEALS! And we CAN TRUST the ONE who ALWAYS has our very best interest at heart. For it is WITH God ALL things ARE possible! Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to Yôu Amen

Thank you for writing this.I needed to read it. I am sick. Not physically, but definitely weak. I lost my husband 6 weeks ago, and today is our wedding anniversary. I am emotionally exhausted, but I will continue on my journey with FAITH and TRUST in HIM.
