I'm looking for an inexpensive option for light utility work (mowing 2 acres, pulling small cart/spreader/sprayer0 and MAYBE a harrow (our ground is all sand here).  I saw some people say they've used a craftsman 26hp mower or similar?  Just wondering if anyone has used one for more than mowing?

Old Ford tractor would be a much, much better option, in my humble opinion. Like a gas jubilee, 601, or 801 series.

I had a 24 hp 46" cut craftsman I killed in less than 2 years.
Cutting 2- 2 1/2 acres. Motor was slow and strained a lot to cut that much grass. Plus it was SLOW!
If it's not a zero turn twin engine. I wouldn't do it.
My next mower will be a zero turn!

In the small Ford Tractor category, beware of A) six volt vs twelve volt electrical system and B) how recent or how good a shape is the engine/clutch/transmission/rear-end in mechanically.

In a word. YES!
And until One experiences a six volt battery blowing in their face, One has not lived. LMAO The ringing in my ears lasted for days! I was a teenager and jumping off an old Ford 8N with when the battery exploded in our faces.....................Made quite the smoke screen as well. Laughing.
