Member Posts: 19	I listed a saddle for sale here on BHW. I have had some strange things happen! With age comes wisdom.....if someone wants to pay you $2,000 more for their carrier fees when you can ship it for $100 bucks, please beware! I've had 2 different checks sent to me from 2 different people "I think"…one was a check from a company and one was a cashiers check. BOTH were no good! Please have your bank check out the check to see if it's good! It only takes a few minutes and it will save your butt! Even cashiers checks!! The don't ask any questions about the saddle but want to make sure you deposit their "BAD" check! My brain doesn't work that way so I'm not sure how the scam works but these people are paying to fed ex the check to me. What a world!

Veteran Posts: 134	I got TONS of fake buyers when I listed my saddle for sale on equinenow, horse clicks, etc. Some of them even asked questions about the saddle, used good grammar, and seemed legit until they started mentioning carrier services. It was a no go on my end once that started. I ended up pulling all of those ads and using Facebook groups to sell it and I would only accept PayPal. There are still PayPal scams but I think it is the safest way to do an exchange of money online. I have sold my saddle, bought a new one, and purchased several tack sets off various FB groups using PayPal and everything has gone great each time.

Expert Posts: 2161 Location: NW. Florida	If you get them to send a postal money order you can cash it on the spot with USPS and you know it's good, before you send the saddle.
