| Thinking about going treeless! What are your opions? What do I need to know about them? Regular or wide width? |

Location: Iowa/Missouri | I love mine. Has been the only saddle that has fit my horse well and has really changed up how he is running and acting. It was amazing the difference this saddle made.
As far as wide v. regular I would try one of each on your horse to truely get the correct fitting. |

Location: Jersey Girl | I had one and sold it because it kept me too locked. Had it been a Jackie J I would have kept it. The leather quality isnt' the best (esp for the money you would spend if buying new).
The build of your horse will determine if you need a wide or regular.

| Love mine. I’ve had it for about 6 yrs. Fits my horse great. I also use it to trail ride in. |

Location: Somewhere around here | Bought a new one, rode in it a few times then sold it. Everything was too "high" for me. I didn't feel locked in but I couldn't put my hands down low since the pommel was too high, it bumped my wrists. I also couldn't hustle real hard in it. I prefer Jackie's and Bob Marshalls. |

| Was a fan because my horse felt like he moved better. Now I'm not so sure. I have a heck of a time keeping him moving. I originally liked it but now, I'm not so sure. I don't ride much anymore though. My guy is older and my job and child limit my free time, so I'm not sure if my "meh" thoughts are related to the fact that my rides are usually "first rides" back since a couple of weeks goes by between rides.

Location: Iowa/Missouri | On the keeping your guy moving, I am in that same situation with mine. But I think mine is due to my gelding finally being in something that doesn't pinch him anywhere. He used to get very fired up at the gate and first time in this saddle he dropped his head and walked in the arena. Now after a few years he gets a little on the muscle but that is it. But my boy is a bit lazier in his Tammy, but I'm chalking it up to he's actually comfortable and relaxed for once. Makes me feel like a horrible owner to see this much of a change and see how he was before. |

Location: Louisiana | I do like my Tammy, but I feel like if I were going to purchase another treeless, I'd go back to a Bob Marshall.
Both have their pros and cons, but I feel like overall, my Bob was better quality. The only thing I didn't like on it was all the nylon straps, especially how the stirrup adjusted.
I like that my Tammy has leather and biothane instead of nylon, both are holding up well. And while the stirrups are 100xs easier to adjust, I don't really like how they're attached to the saddle, I feel like the leathers have stretched a lot, and the left side is actually longer than the right after 2 years of mounting and dismounting from that side...bc of that the left and right are in different holes LOL. I know it stretched, bc they were even up to about a year ago, and all of a sudden I was all out of whack.
My Bob was also thicker, softer leather. The Tammy is a bit stiffer.
I do feel like I ride pretty much the same in both though, so a lot of that stuff is just preference.
I have a regular width Tammy and it fits all my horses just fine, I'll say it took a while to break in, the first time I set it on a back I kinda freaked out, it sat up off their back, but it stretched and shaped around after I got in it and after a few rides.
As far as everything being "high" and holding you in, I love that feeling LOL. |

I also hate the rigging system. You can't get the stirrup to stay up while you tighten your cinch! My biothane stirrup leathers were replaced with leather and boy it was hard to get the saddle comfortable after it came back because the stirrup leathers were thicker than biothane, but it's finally better. |
