| If you saw a horse being shown in a hackamore at a horse sale would it be a factor in whether or not you would be interested in the horse? |

| No, and for so many reasons. |

| No, bit's aren't needed. I'd ask about it, but if the horse was nice, it wouldn't bother me at all.
If it was a pleasure horse, it might be something of an issue. IDK the rules for showing in one. |

| No.
BUT
If it's an older horse from certain trainers then I know its not gonna be broke and soft. So given that it would have to be something I really liked or I thought would be easy/worth trying to get more soft and broke. |

| Thanks for all the replies! I'm going to be selling a horse soon. He does alright in a bit but is alot more relaxed and responsive in a hack. I'm still deciding what to ride him in for the sale. |

| I would rather see a horse in a bosal than a metal hackamore, but either one wouldn’t deter me from purchasing the horse if it was one I truly was interested in.
If your horse is more relaxed and will perform better without a bit, then I say ride him in what will best show off and represent your horse and his abilities. If anyone asks about the lack of a bit, I would just be honest, but I personally think it would be better to see a horse performing well and responding to his rider, no matter the head gear, than see a horse shaking his head, gaping his mouth, and being unresponsive to the rider because of a bit issue. |
