It doesn't look like an exotic hide though. Just slick leather. I am loooing to dye it? Has anyone dyed a slick leather? I hate pink bit for the price I couldn't pass on it!

I had mine redone and it was about $100. If you are dead set on dying it, weaver leather has dyes. Call them and tell them what your plans are and they can suggest a dye to use that won't rub off onto your jeans.

You CAN dye a saddle seat but it entails a lot of work....First you have to strip the finish from the leather. Then you have to use a VERY good leather dye. Followed by putting a sealer finish back on it. That still will not insure that it won't rub off. All of the while trying to not get any on the saddle leather. My advice, too, would be to find a local saddle maker and have the seat replaced. You will be happier in the end.
