My mare does not run as hard on Lasix. I have played with dosage and timing for 2 years. The less I use the closer up the better she runs...but still is not like the old her. I did try running once with her off it and I felt like I had my horse back!!!!.....then I went over and had her scoped and she bled.

I do think she's better conditioned now I only use like 2.5-3cc. I've had her scoped with that amount several times and she's always clean. My problem is if I do it an hour out, she doesn't have time/won't pee. She won't pee once I put the saddle on and I need time to warm her up (and I wait to tack and warm her up at the very last minute).

Question- It was suggested to me by a lady that trains on the racetrack to use Kentucky Red and Amicar together instead, that that is what they use. Does anyone have any experience with this? Dosage, timing, does it work, is it as harmful, etc?

Yes, it will work if the stabilization of the capillary cells within the lung is what the horse needs.   When I was training I found giving 5ml of KR the nb4 and the other 5 ml the morning of the race worked on my running horses.
Amicar on the other hand I have not used on horses but I know with my human Pt's we did lots of labs to make sure that they could stay on it. Watch your labs close if  you decide to go that route.
My question for you, what did your BAL results say was the cause of your bleeding? Have you tried the old and many times used-touch of ACE to drop the BP? If your mare is major on the muscle type that could be helpful. There's a few other meds in this class that can help, talk to your vet.
Have you used a nebulizer to maintain the clarity of the breathing apparatus?
