Unless the WPRA is sending reps to Brazil to measure the record is still in the states!

quickdraw - 2018-09-08 8:33 PM Back when Hotshot was winning everywhere he stepped off the trailer, I couldn't believe he was that fast. He just did not look like it. I finally was sitting on the bottom row close to the timer and saw up close how freaking F-A-S-T he was running to the first barrel. Holy cow then it was much more believable to me. I have seen Patton's horse run several times in person. Videos can be deceiving but in person that is a smoking fast horse that is also big and stout. She is just getting warmed up. I expect we will all see her in the winners circle many more times. As for as the record times on a standard, I don't get too excited over that because the ground can be deep and slow in one arena and groomed to be fast in another.
Yep, that describes both the ANHA runs and seeing them live you can see the speed, no loss of momentum, run all the way into the turn than have the ability to drop and wrap the barrel.   They don’t lose any time preparing for the turn or getting out of it. Patton Ann and Jennifer are a heck of a hand to say the least.  Jennifer rode 8 horses and all made the 1D and 2D shoot out, she had 5 horses with in 8 runs of each other in the shootout and was able to ride each one with focus and have great runs.   The format of the shootout, each D just running against itself and slowest to fastest order makes for an exciting race and brings out the best plus the ground was the best on the last day- there were several sub 17 runs that day.
