Do you use the shavings along with these flooring systems? I recently bought a trailer with the polylast and the seller had shavings on the flooring. When I asked about it, he said you still need to use shavings but I had thought that it kind of took the place of shavings.

I'm not sure but I think it will void the warranty on the floor

I bought my trailer new at a dealer last fall. They said not to use shavings on the polylast floor, but they didn’t mention that the warranty would be void if I did.....

I would think that the shavings would eventually fill in the voids and keep it from draining like it was supposed to.
Just an assumptioin since I have never owned a trailer with that kind of floor but it makes sense.

I have a polylast and do not use shavings. It's awesome to not have to because one of my horses has respiratory disease from allergies.

I would think that most geldings would not want to pee without shavings. Ive had too many geldings wait until they are in bedding or tall grass to pee. Not sure I would like traveling without bedding.

I have the WERM floor and yes, I still use shavings. My horses won't pee if there is a chance of them getting splashed.
(I know... they are spoiled.
) Also, the shavings cut down on the road noise and vibration. I hauled a couple of times without shavings and my one horse was trembling when I got to where I was going. So at least a light layer of shavings for my boys.
