I bought this one for my husband a few years ago for Christmas. You use the propane to light the charcoal. It's amazing and we both love it. |

| We have a Huntington propane grill. I bought it probably 6 years ago. Just replaced the grate and the heat tents, when the replacements are shot it will probably have a hole in the bottom and weβll invest in a new one. We do not do anything special in terms of care and itβs moved 4 times and 2 states. Iβve been impressed with how well itβs held up. |

| We have a Green Mountain pellet grill and I absolutely love it! I've cooked just about everything on it, from steaks to desserts. I love that you can bring the temperature down and bake something in it, just like you would in an oven.

| We have a Pit Boss pellet grill - same as the Traeger and Green Mountain ones, just way cheaper. The only advantage I've seen with the Green Mountain ones is that they have some models that you can hook up to wifi and control with an app.
I absolutely love ours. It's so versatile. We've smoked jerky, made pizzas, tossed a sheet pan with veggies and sausage on...it's great! And it's held up really well. We keep ours in the garage, but my parents have 2 that sit outside from April-October and get hauled all over the place when Dad cooks for competitions or other people. |

The pellets are easy to deal with. Just have to keep an eye on the hopper to make sure you don't run the grill out of pellets halfway through cooking something! We fill the hopper up fairly full and it lasts for quite a while. I think the pellets are easier than propane - they won't leak and it's easy to see when you're running low. We buy them by the pallet and split with my parents and another friend of ours. As long as you keep them in a dry place they last forever. |

On the flip side, propane is easier, more convenient to store. As well as to procure. Propane tanks are now available at many many convenience stores. I am not aware where pellets are bought from...............................

We buy ours in bulk from a distributor since we have enough people to split them up between. In town here, I know you can purchase them at Runnings and Menards. We're terrible about remembering to take empty propane tanks into town with us to get them swapped out or refilled. We just keep the bags of pellets on a shelf under the bar in the garage. Granted, not everyone's setup is the same, but for us at least the pellets have been super easy to deal with. |

Green Mountain. I think once you go pellet you wont try anything else. No their not a pain, like someone mention above just keep hopper full. Its not much fun to run out mid grill. There's all kids of options on them now. And yes you can smoke cookies on them. |
