| Looking for a mild joint support for colts that you are just started to really put to work. Not sure I want to go the IM route, but not sure I trust the PO route either. Input below please. | |

Location: Illinois | I'm a big MVP fan and use several products on my horses, can't say enough good things about the results. I just put my 4 year old on Exceed 6-Way the end of April and the results in 30 days have been awesome. She has grown into herself a lot and her coat is insane, I'll try to attach the before and after photos I just took. And I honestly only put her on 1/2 the recommended dose as she's just being lightly ridden, once I start really working her & getting on the pattern I'll bump her to the normal full dose. Every horse I own is on the Exceed 6-Way right now. Plus with it being multi-functional you're getting more than just joint support, which can't be beat. I am an ambassador for the company & if you're interested at all you can pm me to get info on any offers or promotions there are right now.

I do feed Renew Gold senior, but not because of the joint support. The best thing you can do for a YOUNG horse is keep those young fresh joints happy and supported through work. I don't dink around with the oral stuff anymore. Nope, to much money to " Hope" they work. My young horses ( Really all my horses unless they have special requirements) get a FULL 7 shot series of adequan twice a year. Period. My older finished horses get Legend the day before a run and monthly Polyglycan if they need more support.

Location: Illinois | My lameness vet that does injections is the biggest feed thru supplement skeptic, he hates them. He only recommends Legend and Adequan besides just injecting the joints, which he won't do unless he feels its absolutely necessary. Anyway my horse usually has dry joints when he injects or what comes out will basically be water, not the stringy elastic consistency it should be. I inject usually every April, but last year had to push back to July. I had been using Exceed 6-Way since December at that point. He stuck the needle in & fluid came out, he strung it between his fingers and asked what the hell I did to get it that good. Keep in mind he's been injecting this horse for many years now. He was flabbergasted, especially since his injections were always about an 8 month efficiency, but I take November-March off so I never get re-injected. I ran until December, started the Exceed 6-Way and 15 months later his joint fluid was better than ever. So he told me to keep doing it & went back this April & same results still. So for me that was enough to justify saying it was working, he's been on several of the other high priced joint supplements and still had dry joints with them. Switching to Exceed 6-Way was the only one that made any difference and at 19 for him to have as perfect of joints as you can ask for at that age being a performance horse, it's worth it to me. That's from my vet. Everyone is going to have their own opinions though and I've noticed differences in joints in my 2 older geldings, but I started my 4 year old on it for prevention and support to keep her going, I need her to run for many many years :)

When I was trying joint supplements, the 6 way was the ONLY one I could not get either of my horses to eat! LOL Not only that they became violent at their feed buckets. Didn't just walk away but my 4 year old pawed, and shattered his bucket off the fence. Like there was a snake in it or something. I did get a full refund from the company as they do stand behind their product. The first batch I got smelled like Dirty feet so they sent a second one. It smelled better but my horses have never had bucket anger issues before or after. I have fed Actiflex, platinum, Tight joints plus, etc. They never refused to eat it but I don't get the results I do with injectibles.
