Location: So. Cali. | I use to like the Animal Element In The Zone Paste. When I could actually get it into my horses mouth. Have ended up wearing it a time or two. I know feed a daily supplement called Quiessence. Very happy with it and you can adjust your feeding amount for upcoming events (feed more for a stronger effect as the event gets closer).

What has especially helped my nervous, spooky horse is the CBD alfalfa pellets. What are CBD alfalfa pellets? Where do you get them? Just saw this - CBD is the cannibus oil without the THC. (Or, at least the GOOD companies will release their lab results so you can see there is no THC in them, an they are the purest you can get.) I am a dealer for one company - Hope Botanicals. I take them, my poor Corgi that has Degenerative Myelopathy (ALS in humans) take it and my one PSSM2 horse is on it. (she gets the alfalfa pellets). If you are interested, shoot me a msg. There isn't much mark up on ours, but I could do a bit better price than the webpage since I do offer the discounts to BHW folks on products I carry. The CBD is wonderful for any kind of pain or inflamation, and it also does well for anxiety. It's getting hard to get product right now since there has been such a boom on it, so many using it. It does not have the regulations that pot has because it does not have the THC in it (or it better NOT have, or a company can get busted - but that unfortunately has not stoppped some of them).
I use CBD too and Hemp. Hemp oil has all the omegas as Flax. Hemp has two acids more than Flax that help reduce inflamation and does help with anxiety. Hemp seed also has complete protein that works for horses as well in humans and other animals. A power plant when it comes to nutrition.

I'm really curious about this. I have one that is just a little immature and gets anxious when we haul. Would something like the CBD pellets be good for her? She's on a very simple feed program right now (alfalfa, forage mix, and a prebiotic) and I don't want to add a bunch of different stuff and end up overdoing it. Just something to take a little bit of her edge off and relax her.
