| Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. We can climb up on top of this verse and find refuge and hope in times of confusion or need. This is one of the most comforting thoughts in all of Scripture; things that happen in life have a way of working together for our good. They are constructive. As we each look back over our Christian experience,how may events that we may have thought at the time were disastrous actually, in the end, worked out for good? We are ALL confronted with things that are bad. There are financial failings,sickness, disappointments. However , it does mean that God can take our mistakes and messs and work them together for our own good. Psalm 119:71 " it is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may LEARN Your Statutes." ALL things include unfair things. ALL things include difficult things.
" ALL things work together for good" to those who LOVE God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Love is something we do. In the Bible , it is ALWAYS EQUATED ACTION. Jesus said, " if you love Me, KEEP my commandments ' John 14:15. Loving God and ABIDING in His will, His purpose, is the condition by which truth comes to our hearts. Meditate on the DEEP REALITY that God is awak and aware of EVERYTHING that comes you way. His own wonderful way fo turnng our bitterness into blessing.
