I unfortunately made the decision to allow my horse to go on trial with a family I've kind of known (but not well) for the last couple years. It was originally a 2 week trial ending the 14th. Their child can't keep her moving in her turns so they decided she wasn't a great fit. Which is fine, I just want my horse back. Do you expect them to bring the horse back to you? They are 8 hours away (one way) and I can't afford the $200 in gas plus hotel room for the round trip to get her. They want me to come get her, or meet me half way. The father says he has to work this weekend so it will have to be next weekend, fine. I told them Saturday is the only day I'm available and he said "shouldn't be a problem." But I know they have a youth rodeo that day and am suspicious they won't be able to meet me with her. This weekend would be the only weekend I actually have the time to make this round trip. Should I just suck it up and make it or trust he will meet me next Saturday? Freaking out. Don't ever let a horse go on trial so far away!!

Where is the horse located at this time? I know a few trusty buddies who might be able if in the area who may come closer to your destination, a train of sorts.

Totally agree with Miss Roxie--go get your horse NOW. Or if Miss Cat could help get a "pick up line" going, definitely try that. My horse would be home by tomorrow night. . . . Good luck
