| Is there any other grain comparable to Blue Bonnet Omega Force? Unfortunately it is impossible to get and the local feed stores are not willing to supply.
Thank you! |

Location: West Texas | Comparable in which way? There should be other feeds in the area that are similar. Purina Ultium and Proforce XTN, are both fairly similar.

Location: Willows, CA | BB is a proven safe consistent manufacturer. That said, there are a few things with this feed that raise a few questions for me. It is a typical mostly alfalfa meal pellet (number one ingredient), which is fine if you can’t get safe alfalfa for your program. But, this is the most expensive way to get alfalfa in your diet. Also has soy as a protein source, which some horses do not do well with. Rice hulls are pretty high on the list (just filler with no significant contribution there). Probiotic numbers look impressive, but are of questionable effect in a fully functioning digestive system.
If you are in an area where you can’t get safe alfalfa, this is a safe option. I really don’t like anyone using rice hulls in horse feed. Most feed companies make a version of these alfalfa meal based pellets that hit the same protein and fat numbers. As long as they come from a safe mill they are all pretty much the same with pretty much the same result. Again, the best return on your feed dollar is better hay and less concentrate. That is what promotes digestive efficiency. |

Location: Weatherford, TX | Does anyone know of the Bryant Low Starch and how it compares to the BB Omega Force? Ingredients look the same from what we can see. I am just concerned we are missing something because it is a lot cheaper in price to BB Omega . Bryant is manufactured out of North Texas. Thanks. |

Just off a glance of the feed tags significantly lower fat content, only amino acid listed with a guaranteed minimum is lysine and methionine compared to Omega. Also, their feeding rate looks to be higher. Wasn’t sure what the pre and pro biotics are bc they aren’t listed with any amount or types on the Bryant to compare. The Bryant is probably closer to Blue Bonnet’s Horsemen’s Elite or maybe their Equilene but probably HE I would think.

It just looked different to me by the list of ingredients. However, I don't know all them all.

Location: TExas | Nothing really compares. I would go with good alfalfa pellet and order their supplements on line sent directly to you. You can order the stride 101. If you need any other things you can't get them. If you want more fat added you can add the Stride shine. Can you get Triple Crown, the Sr is a good one to use if you can't get BB. |
