Just bought a new hackamore. Nylon rope nose. How do you get them broke in quicker so they arenβt so stiff? Thanks.

Like is it not forming to your horses nose? When I got a new hack and the nose piece was stiff and not forming to my horses nose I would fold the nose band together and wrap a thick rubber band around it and leave it for a few days and spraying a little bit of water on it here and there.. I hope that I explaned it ok for you, I'll see if I can find a picture of how I do this..Plus I would work the nose piece back and forth to try to loosen it up some

What I do too! The latest one I bought came with the noseband electrical taped on the ends together so it was easier to get it to form to the nose right away.

Thank you ! Luckily itβs been over 100 degrees here and pretty humid. It seems to be softening up. Lol

Thats a good ideal too, I would leave mine sitting out in the sun for a few days and that did the trick for me.. This Texas heat/sun can really get stuff to soften up, lol..
