I've been a pretty faithful Pro Choice Elite Boot customer, but with my new guy sooo much dirt gets in them, it's like a sand box. Not so much on the fronts, but the hinds are terrible. He needs to wear hind boots, as he knocks and has cut himself a few times since I've had him. I've been really considering trying the Flow Boots. Maybe not a set of four yet, but trying them on his hinds first. Thoughts?

I had great luck with iconoclast for keeping dirt out. I have since switched to BarF. They have been around for years. They actually have leather pads on the insides of fronts and rear just for what you describe.

I will say I’ve never had dirt in my flow boots.

They also get the call when it’s muddy and I boot up before I warm up.

When it’s not muddy I typically use my pro choice elites because it’s faster to put boots on then wraps and i don’t like to boot until the have to when it’s hot.

I’ve had iconoclasts, I didn’t feel like they held up well and for my smaller horse we’re really bulky with the double straps. They also collected dirt more than my pro choice.

I’ve never tried classic equines for the same reason, the fetlock area looks bulky. I know folks who love them and who don’t like them.

I think each boot fits a horse differently and you may have to experiment. It sounds liken Flow Boots would be a good choice for the back though.

Thank you for the response! I found a seller on FB that has a set of mediums and a set of wraps, but she wanted too much for them I thought. Equine Outfitters online has 20% off for first time customers, so I bought a set of medium for the hind and a set of two wraps! He measured an XS for the front, but will use the hinds a few times and if I like them will order the boots for the front. And even though I measured him, if the mediums don't fit I can send them back, instead of buying on FB where I would be stuck with them.

My 14.1hh gelding wears a small on the back and an xs in the front. He’s a medium in pro choice elites. Iconoclast I think I had mediums on the back and smalls on the front.
