My cremello has mostly black skin on his legs. He is a March 16 baby.  His mane and tail are white with a dark hair or two. About the latest inch of new mane growth is blonde...like a palomino. What gives?

I’ve never seen a cremello or perlino with black skin. If I’m thinking right from color genetics it’s not a cremello or perlino

I had a friend in Ruston at one time that raised almost exclusively cremellos and perlinos. There was only pink or pinkish tone to all skin areas.

cremello and perlinos cannot have black skin.
So my thoughts are either he's not a cremello/perlino but some other color being confused as such. ORRR in the EXTREMELY rare event he is a CHIMERA which basically means he carries 2 diffferent color genes.
This is a case where a horse can be buckskin in 1 or 2 spots of their body and then like bay or sorrel in the other parts.
but as i said it is EXTREMELY RARE... and most likely not the case.

Can you post pictures of the foal? we could help identify more accurately what could be going on
