so I got a 93, 3h featherlite GN with big dressing room. its not insulated. I'm guessing it will have sweat/ condensation in the winter? does anyone have one like mine? does yours get damp? what do you do? I am used to stock trailers so this is new for me lol! I won't be storing tack in there, it will pretty much be empty there's just a mattress in there now. I live in the pacific northwest we get alot of rain and snow and pretty much don't haul anywhere dec-march. so i'm not worried about using it during those months. I was thinking of a trailer cover but idk how good those are to deal with.

There is an RV canister that you buy little granules for and it takes humidity out of the air. Works awesome !!!! The bottom of it fills with water. Just dump it and replace granules and your good to go.

I’d throw a bucket of damp rid in there.

I’d be slightly maybe worried about the mattress so maybe keep an eye on it?

Same set up I have. If you have no leaks. A Damprid will keep it dry enough in there. They make many styles. I like to do the hanging kind from my clothing bar. But if you have no place to hang one then the sitting kind is good too.

I am in ND and have never had any issues. My trailer is my barn, and I keep my tack in it year-round.

Of course, we don't have the humidty of the pacific northwest (I lived in Oregon for a few years). I don't think you'll have any trouble with condensation, and if you aren't storing tack in there, you won't have to worry about mold on leather. Might want to keep an eye on the mattress but you should be fine.

ok i'm definitely ordering damp rid or dri z air. I talked to a trailer repair place and he said it would be about $3k if they insulated it and even then i'll still have problems. that was his estimate without looking at the actual trailer. he said the best bet is the leave it as-is, and take out the mattress, take the carpet off the floor, put in removable carpet or whatever (take it out for winter) and put in the granuals/bucket.

I used to have a sooner LQ but my needs changed and i sold it. I get tired of stock trailers and like the horses to have their dividers. so I got this on to be my middle ground I hope I did the right thing. If not I guess  I can re-sell it later! Its a nice lightweight trailer so I hope it turns out ok. It is pretty humid here and we get alot of snow that just sits for a long time and doesn't melt off quickly.

Definitely i'm not storing tack or anything in it. we are pretty much not hauling from december to march at least! the weather is so crappy.

edited to say thank you all for the replies!
