I have no long term experience with them, I’ve heard good and bad. I’m not a fan of additional moving parts on a saddle, personally. And they don’t necessarily flex as much as folks might think.

I looked at one a few years ago, a reinsman McCrae i think, I was thoroughly unimpressed by the quality of leather and craftsmanship. I returned it, we use our saddles hard and I do not feel it would have held up. For what they go for new you are 1/2-2/3 of the way to a number of much higher quality saddles.

I had a Circle Y Marlene Special Effx and I liked it, although it wasn't very accomodating to the wider horses we have nowadays. I think I read somewhere that they flex less than 1/8", so I'm not really sure thats a selling factor, if that stat was accurate.

I have the new Martin Lisa Lockhart saddle and it calls it "pliable bar tree".  I have a very hard to fit mare and this one fit her perfectly. I love it and the quality.

I love my sibley, its an ultra flex so not sure how much movement it has but I have used it on dozens of horses without issues. I have a Marlene McRae by Cactus, its not nearly as flexible as my sibley.

I ride a Sibley, and they definitely flex more than others. I can bend mine pretty far. It fits everything and it's the most comfortable saddle I've ever sat in. It's been used pretty heavily and it's held up fine.

I just bought a Circle Y Marlene Special Effx. I’ve tried for YEARS to find a saddle to fit my mare. No matter what I tried there was always dry spots on her withers. This saddle FITS! No dry spots at all! I do with the seat size was a smidge bigger but it fits the horse so I’m happy!
