Some of you might remember a few years ago when TurnLane rescued a big off the track gelding, and graciously allowed me to be his next person. Streak has moved on to his dream job of being a pee wee barrel horse, and over the weekend won his first buckle with his new rider (a second grader). They were the 2D Champions in the Pee Wee race at the Kansas NBHA State show.
I don't know if the video will post since it's from his mom's facebook, but it is the most adorable thing. I'm sure very few people would have expected this gentle giant to be such an awesome kid horse, but he truly loves his job now and I'm glad I got to play a part in his story.
