I don’t blanket my horses unless it’s 35 or below. Unless it’s raining or windy. But should I be blanketing my weanling? She doesn’t have much of a winter coat. Just baby fluff.

no, just make sure she has plenty of forage in front of her so she can eat and keep warm.

She’s turned out with a round roll of hay. I did go put them all in the barn because it’s raning and 41 but my barn is completely open so doesn’t offer much wind block.

41 is not cold to a horse. 35 is not cold to a horse. I have run ins and they don't go in very often all winter. Only in the rain/snow or high winds.

Mine are all outside with a round bale available. They do come in their run in sheds when it rains, but most of the time they are outside.
If they have plenty of forage and a windbreak they will be just fine.

I blanket all of mine starting from weanlings on. Its just easier to start them as a baby. Below 60 they get a sheet, below 50 they get a blanket. Of course wind is a big factor in that as well. I like mine slick and shiny year round lol

My 8 month old isn't blanketed but she is up in the barn at night. She has fuzz :)
