Location: chasing kids and animals | I recenlty borrowed a friends mask and tried it on my little mare who can get extremely nervous at times. It seemed to help or she was just having a good day. just trying to see what everyones opinion is, experiences are with the Hidez mask and how ofter do you use it? |

| I use mine only at races and it does seem to help. My mare is not the quietest at the gate and is nicer while waiting to go. It's not a miracle but it does seem to work. I think it would work better if my mares head was not in between sizes. She could fit in a medium but it would be sooo tight but the large is a little big. |

Location: Kansas | They seem to help some horses, but not others. It's kind of a trial & error thing. Find someone who will let you borrow one for a few runs, and let your horse tell you if he/she needs it. Or buy one used on Facebook and if it doesn't help, you can resell it and not be out a lot of money. I used one for a year or so on a hotter horse, but now run him without it as I don't see a big difference. His issue is confidence, and we've been addressing that with a regular routine and a GREAT horseshoer who has him feeling like a million bucks. My veteran seasoned rodeo horse has one that he travels in with the rest of his Hidez gear (suit & neck cover), and he loves the mask. It must feel good because he always licks, chews, & relaxes when I pull it on. I couldn't tell you what about it makes him so happy, but he'll continue to travel in it if it makes him happy. |

I ran her in it a few times and then this past Sunday she saw it in my hands and lowered her head wanting me to put it on her. I think it does help her to some extent just not sure how but I know she was waiting on it Sunday. Thanks guys |

I'm with you - I can't really explain it but can tell my horses like the masks. It didn't change anything during runs with my gray, but he does like wearing it before & after, and honestly, he gets what he wants. |
