Location: Louisiana | Finishing up our barn and wanting to have mats in the stalls... is there a cost efficient option out there?
Everything I've priced seems to be $200-300+ per stall.
The base is packed dirt so I don't need the same amount of cushion if they were on concrete, just something to keep everything nice and level. I also think mats are easier to keep clean.
Stalls are 12x12
I'd LOVE something that doesn't move around. At my mom's I had the TSC mats that moved around and always needed readjusting, plus they were SOOO heavy. Bu so far they seem to be the lease expensive option, although still high.
Thanks! |

LOL, I was going to suggest the TSC mats, they are thick and heavy for sure, I use them on my wash rack..I think any mat is going to move around unless they are locked in somehow. |

Location: North Dakota | We bought the 12x12s from TSC for the stalls and have not had issues with shifting. We also laid them in our alley way, those did shift, so we βpinnedβ them down with a foot long spike with a washer. Works like a charm. Can even drive on them with the bobcat and they donβt move:) If I ever have an issue with the stall mats shifting we will βpinβ them down too.

I have never had our mats move around but they fit like a glove in our stalls so they really can't move. I have seen mats nailed down with those massive nails that look almost like tent stakes and that has seemed to work great! I would definitely do that if they didn't fit like a glove in ours. |

Thanks! I checked and that's the small 4x3 mats so still $240 per stall. Crossing my fingers they'll run the 4x6's on sale for under $40 sometime soon! I THINK they mark them down to $35/36 every so often, that would save me quite a bit for all the stalls.
Thank you so much for thinking of me! |

Call them because I want to say they gave me the discount ($35) for ordering a couple pallets of them! |

| I used old conveyor belts from a limestone plant. They arenβt super thick but work really well.. I use them to just cover packed dirt floors. I think I paid $100 for one roll and did two stalls. |

Location: Louisiana | OK for anyone who happens to be near Ohio...I found a feed/supply store that sells "seconds" for $25/mat! These are the same heavy 4x6 mats TSC carries.
