Location: Northwest | We have a nice living quarters trailer. We rarely ever use the LQ so I’ve been thinking about selling. Does anyone totally regret downsizing? I want to do it but I am afraid I’ll regret it at some point. |

Is the trailer payed off/owe money on it? If already payed off I would keep it and just buy a smaller tailer for hauling to vet and close by jackpots/barrel races.. I bet you would regret selling it later down the road.. |

| I have a 4 horse with 10’ LQ, small enough to pull anywhere with ease. I never overnight anymore but I would never sell it, I love the convenience of my bathroom, refrigerator, being able to get in the AC for a little bit during our hot humid summers.

Location: NE | I am the same way....I have a 4 horse Bloomer and could probably get out of it close to what I paid. I hardly ever use it and really would like a smaller trailer that is easier to drive around! Mine is paid for, so that is the only thing that is keeping me from getting something different! My husband wants to do a toter and bumper pull...He thinks we will use it more often. |

Location: CTX | We have a nice 4-H with a 10' LQ that I've been pulling for a couple of years now and even though it's not bad to pull I convinced my husband last year to get a 20' stock trailer to use for day trips. My friend was done with 4H (kids out of high school) and she was selling it. So I jumped on it. It is so nice to just use for a vet run or a day race. If you can add a smaller trailer and keep the LQ for overnight races I would definitely do so. |

| I had 14’ 4H LQ and as well as a 3H slant load gooseneck....went back and forth between the two for years...which was a lot of work loading and unloading tack. I didn’t use the LQ more than about 5-8 times a year. Earlier this year I traded the 32’ box LQ for a 3H 8’ LQ....22’ box. LOVE IT! It’s perfect now that it’s just me for staying in several days or just going for the day....absolutely perfect! No regrets whatsoever. It simplified my life. |

We pulled a 6 horse with 12’ LQ when my 3 girls were riding. I could pull it with no problems but I was never comfortable doing it. That said, I always thought as my girls went off to college I would downsize to a 4 horse with a 14’ shortwall. I went to pick up my daughters 3 horse with a 6’ shorwall LQ and oh my word, I couldn’t even feel it behind my truck- it was so nice! I quickly decided I was not going to ever get a huge trailer again.

| I kicked around the idea of selling our 3 horse LQ because I thought we needed a bigger LQ area to try to get more use out of, camping trips etc.. but after looking at a bunch of bigger trailers . I decided I love mine just the way it is lol! It's not too big, its got everything I need in it and we bought it right, the LQ still smells brand new, not a single leak in it either. We decided to hold onto it and just buy a bigger 5th wheel to do our camping this summer. |

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | I traded my 4 horse LQs down to a 3 horse dressing room back in November. It was a very hard decision, but we needed to get rid of the payment in a bad way. I lost both my good horses and only have colts, so most of the hauling I do is local jackpots til I get something going good...and that may take me a few years. I even had LQs almost paid off...but now I have a nice, really handy, paid for trailer, and the extra paid a LOT of bills for us. Sometimes, adult decisions suck. But it was the right thing to do for my situation. |
