I have a question about "Red" States and crossing the Canadian border with a hand gun. My daughter and I are driving to BC Canada mid-March from Iowa. She’s attending Equine Chiropractic School. It's about a 3-4 day drive and I'm a little concerned about not being able to take my gun. I can look up on Legal Heat website to see the red states, I'm not sure about crossing the border, or if I can take my gun at all.
I plan to fly back home so there is the airport ordeal as well. Has anyone experience this sort of scenario? We both have a concealed carry permit but the gun(s) are registered to me. I don't like the idea of being on the road that many days without any protection. Any help is most appreciated!
