I agree with Flit!! Also, I LOVE schreiner's spray and furazone. I like to keep a human first aid kit in there as well! Band aids, neosporine, eye drops, simple things =]

Edited to add - not really first aid, but I always keep clippers for pulling a shoe if I need to!

Here is what my vet agrees should be in my trailer

BANAMINE

bute

SMZ's

10 rolls of vet wrap

standing wraps

Roll of cotton bandaging material.

Topical spray like silver spray.

This, plus:

non-stick gauze

cling gauze

surgical tape

rubber tourniquet

Betadine scrub

Scarlet oil

My box also has miscellaneous antibiotic ointments, sprays, needles, syringes, bandage scissors, etc.

I feel like I have enough to at least keep an injured horse alive/going until we get to the vet.

I keep

Bute

Banamine

Dex

Ace

Confidence EQ (currently out but did like it when I had it)

needle and syringe assortments

gauze

vetwrap

cotton wrap & red wrap stuff(never remember what to call it)

standing wraps

ointmentS/wound cleanserS (depending on what and where it is will depend on what I put on it which is why there is an "S" lol)

plastic wrap (I'm currently out...glad I'm commenting on here)

scissors

ice pack

gloves

thermometer

hoof rasp, shoe pullers, nippers (in case of a pulled shoe)

3 different kinds of linaments

...I know I'm forgetting something

I don't keep much for human first aide but I probably should since I'm half the equation lol

Own It and Move On

The things listed above and puppy pee pads - they're the most awesome thing ever for bandaging legs or sweating one.  So much simplier than dealing with cotton padding and saran wrap.
