Need opinions on what to use.  Both my geldings seem to have eye allergies.  Both have red watery eyes and they itch.  They are on pasture and alfalfa cubes.  Some hay but they only pick at the hay.  What does everybody use?

My mare doesn't have eye allergies, but she has allergies & breaks out in hives. I use the platnium allergy stuff. My vet uses it for her mare. I have had great results with it. This is the 3rd year I have put Heidi on it. You might try a fly mask also. JMHO, but with eye allergies, I would have your vet look at them.

Does this happen every year at a specific time of year, or is this a first-time thing? Is there something possibly in your field that needs bush hogged?

I know cattle can especially get pinkeye due to overgrown pasture, and it can be not only transmitted through manure/flies but on infected plant material hitting them in the face when they eat. Not the same thing, but just wondering if there is something growing that's hitting them in their eyes when they graze or if it could be a weed in your pasture giving them fits!

Both my horses get spring allergies only when everything is green. Once it dries up, all good. My vet recommended a product called skin and allergy SA. It’s flax based and runs about 50.00 a month supply. I have had immediate results with it and my horses love it. It’s NOT prescription.

My one gelding had it somewhat last year but it seems like it is earlier this year and yes probably my pasture needs mowed already.  My allergies are worse this year than they ever have been also though.

I noticed more watery eyes and runny noses with my boys.. pollen is apparently thru the roof right now.. I know I'm suffering myself, waking up every morning feeling like I have a hangover  without even enjoying the process! Terrible time of the year for us allergy sufferers! Someone told me about something from silver lining herbs and I cant remember what it is now!

You are in oklahoma right ?  My husbands allergies are nasty to. I'm not one to have allergies, but I have now. My left upper molar has been hurting & the tooth is fine. Bob said it's allergies   :(  Luckily it's fine today :)
