| I was looking at getting a Kelly kaminski flex 2 for my hard to fit horse and my friend warned me it may not seem to fit right out of the box if it's new because it has a break in period. Trying on a used kelly flex2 will show how the tree fits because it's broken in. Is this what everyone else has experienced with the flex2 tree? I know a lisa has the same type of technology in their tree so I guess is this normal for any flex2 tree? I just find it odd that it won't fit right the first several rides... |

| I was told this exact same thing by my dealer. I was so disappointed when my new saddle arrived and didn’t fit my horse and the dealer then told me about the break in period (not before I ordered).
So I googled it and came up with nothing. Called circle y and they said there was no break in period. I told the dealer who insisted there was. So I called circle y back and again they said no break in period. I told them my dealer said there was - they asked who my dealer was and the. Said “if that’s the experience they have with this tree, then that may be the case”.
I returned the saddle and bought the standard pozzi tree which fit my horse out of the box...... |

| I probably should tell you what the kaminski saddle did out of the box....it rolled on my horse (as all other saddles did), I couldn’t get my hand under the saddle at the front (it was tight and HURT when my horse even moved her neck), and it would slide back multiple inches when I rode her in it. |

yikes... That is terrible. I assume you had tried on a used one on before and it fit? Then bought a new one for yourself? Or was the new saddle your only experience putting a Kelly on your horse's back? My new one arrived just now so we'll see. I'm a little nervous. |

Yes, dealer had tried a kk saddle on my horse before I ordered. I’m not sure if it was a demo, used, or new. But we did try it on her before I placed the order. |

oh geez. That sucks. I'm glad the pozzi worked out. I hope some other people will chime in too about their experiences too. |

| I just saw this and the exact thing happend with my KK saddle. Horse was fitted for the saddle and they ordered me one. I got it and it has never fit my horse. Super tight in the front and hard to fit hand around the front edges. It slides back and causes bulges in front of withers when I get done riding. Horse has been back sore since I bought it. Ive had chiro and massage people work on him and they all say it does not fit. The one they used at the store was the owners personal saddle and it was deffintly broke in. Circle Y also told me there is NO break in period and it should fit out of the box. Stuck with the saddle after dealer telling me that it fits and spending alot on different pads and thicknesses. Still trying to find a saddle that fits.

Location: North Dakota | Interesting. I've never been told there is a break in period. My KK flex2 (regular) saddle I ordered should be here in a couple weeks for Dexter. I already have a Lisa Lockhart wide Flex2 for Red (bought in 2014) and a Badlands regular Flex2 for Shotgun (bought in 2018). Both fit right out of the box and noticed no change after they were "broken in". Sweat marks are perfect and they fit great. So I'm expecting the KK to fit the same out of the box like the other two Circle Y saddles did. The Flex2 seems to fit really great and I love them.

Location: /ARKANSAS | I have owned 2 KKcircle Y saddles! I use a 5 star pad and have had no problem with either one! Love the flex tree. Mine have extreme performance engraved on it. Moved from a Bob Marshall to this one because of bank pain. |

| I tried a KK flex 2 on my horse and it fit great. I did not ride in it, but it was a display (so I assume it was ridden in very little?) but it fit great. Even though we didn't ride in it, we did cinch it up to evaluate fit also, not just throwing it up on her back. I hope this isn't the case because I want to order one and hope it fits just like the one I tried on her! |

| UPDATE!!!! I bought two Kelly kaminski flex 2 saddles. A wide and a regular. Both fit right out of the box! I never had any issues with having to break them in. I really like the fit of each tree on both my horses. The regular fits my narrow horse and the wide fits my bigger shouldered horse. Hope that helps. |

Location: North Dakota | Interesting. I just sent back my KK Flex 2 (regular) that I ordered. I already have a Badlands (formerly Lisa Lockhart) Flex2 regular that I use on two of my horses, and I was just wanting another saddle so I wasn't having to switch all the time. Fits both horses perfectly. Put the KK Flex2 on his back and it is BRIDGING in the middle. Doesn't fit!! I know the KK tree is not exactly like the LL tree, but I didn't think they would be quite that much different. Sad to send it back, but I sent it back. |

The bar angle on the lisa is wider by a couple degrees compared to the kelly. |

Location: Indiana | I love my KK Flex2! I have had it for 7 years now and it has fit all of my horses perfect, also didn't have a break in period, it was perfect right away. It's my favorite saddle out of the three that I have (other two are a Martha Josey and a Just B Natural). |

Yes, I had contacted Circle Y earlier this year. The LL is 3 degrees wider on the bar angle than the KK, to be exact! Which doesn't sound like much, but apparrently must be. They also told me KK also has a 1/2 inch deeper seat. |
