Can anyone recommend a good quality brand of, all enclosed, metal fans for barn use? Finishing up our new barn and want to install one in each stall.

The best barn I was ever at had ceiling fans in each stall. So much better than the box fans.

I bought mine from lowes.. cant remember the brand but they are metal and heavy duty. We take them down about every 2 months or so and use the air compressor to blow them out to get the dust and cobwebs off. They lasted almost 2 years and 1 just finally bit the dust on me.. they run pretty much 10-12 hours a day during the summer months

These barn farns are awesome -- I have them in my barn -- they really move lots of air.

Valley vet has an awesome enclosed indoor/outdoor fan.  I think they're around $135.

Me too.  My barn haw 14' side walls so it is definitely tall enough to accomodate one.  Now I just need suck it up and part with the $$$s to purchase and install.  Mean time I have a couple of 36" fans blowing down the aisle and 18 or 20" high velocity fans over each stall.   Actually have had pretty good luck with the high velocity fans.  I can get them on sale for about $35 each and they are good for a couple of years, some even longer.

I have Air King fans with enclosed motors in my stalls.

I have two 14” ones in two of my stalls. I just ordered one 18” one for a smaller stall.

We've used these before and bought 3 more today.  We usually get 2 to 3 years out of them continuously running from first of warm AR weather til end.  (April thru at least September most years.)   They were $76 before tax at TSC.

Have used the cheap-o walmart box fans for years (taking them down periodically to blow them out with the air compressor) but looking to upgrade my fans for the new barn.... has anyone had any luck with oscillating fans in their stalls? Good idea? bad idea? not make much of a difference?

Thinking something along these lines .....
