I have the hardest to fit head, every hat I’ve ever bought will not stay on my head during a run. Am thinking about getting a custom hat fitted- where is the best place to go? I am thinking of going with Shorty’s in OKC but wanted to see what else was out there.

My husband had a custom hat made for him by Shorty's it took almost 6 months to get it and it was really expensive IMO but so worth it. The hat is great quality! I would recommend Shorty's if you are wanting a hat built to fit you.

Thank you! When you say really expensive what are we talking? $500? $1000? More? PM me if you want and don’t mind :)

I think his is a 50X felt and was around $800. To me that is pretty expensive however I don't think a black felt hat goes out of style and if its a good one it shoudl last forever. My daughter has a 50X rodeo King that she wears every weekend no matter the season I think I paid about $450 for it but it holds its shape and looks outstanding she's had it for probably 3-4 years now shes 13. She doesnt have a funky shape head like her dad so its easy to buy for her lol.

I know you want a western hat BUT if you ever try a helmet. You will be very happy. There are a LOT of futurity riders and quite a few pro rodeo girls that wear helmets now. They don’t come off

LOVE my Shortys...custom made for my head, did take a while and expensive but worth it.  However that being said I also bought a Bigger Hat a few years ago, it wasn't custom made like the Shortys but they did fit it to my head pretty perfect, good quality and it was a 1/4 of the cost.  I'm very happy with it!

Love my American hat. Don't know if you have tried them out or not but then sit down lower on your head and I don't even have to use a stamped string.

Yes Biggar Custom Hats is a brand.  Sorry I spelt it wrong originally. https://biggarhatstore.com/

Jeff the owner actually designed hats for american for many years and worked for them until he branched off on his own.
